Melculum: from Wix to their own store
Poddžbánská medovina is a family mead producer from Měcholupy near Žatec. They sold through an online store on Wix that loaded slowly on phones and came with monthly fees.

Where they started
The Wix site loaded slowly on phones, downloaded far more data than needed and cost a fee every month, while most customers look for and buy mead on their phones.
What we did
We built a new custom online store: the mead catalogue, cart and orders, and an admin where the owners change products and prices themselves. Petr also created a complete new branding. The site runs on the fast Cloudflare network and the template fee is gone.
The result
- 58 %faster to show the main content on a phone
- 85 %faster to fully load on a phone
- 87 %less data downloaded on a phone (72 % on desktop)
- 80 %fewer requests the browser has to make
Compared with the original Wix site. On desktop the page loads 31 % faster and the server responds 33 % faster.
In two months with the new site we sold more online than in two whole years on Wix. And the monthly Wix fees are gone.
